What if

When on my bed I laid down for the night,
Some whatif’s came in sight.
Which were engraved in my mind,
And they were not so kind.
The whole night I turned & twisted on my bed,
Thinking of the whatif song they had said:

What if I miss the school bus?
What if I go to school &make a fuss?
What if I grow red hair on my chest?
What if I look the best?
What if my computer breaks down?
What if I become a clown?
What if I have holes in my pants?
What if I grow two more hands?
What if I have two faces?
What if my shoes don’t have laces?
What if I fail?
What if I go straight to jail?

I know they weren’t true,
But gave me a pleasant clue,
To write a poem,
Which I never thought I could do.
